The Disability Festival offers much more than Main Stage entertainment, with accessible sports, workshops, comedy, food, community information, wellbeing support and activities throughout the park.
The Main Stage may be one of the festival’s biggest attractions, but there is much more waiting to be discovered across Christchurch Green.
The Disability Festival in the Park has been designed as a full community experience, offering opportunities to participate, create, explore, connect and relax.

Accessible sports
Visitors will be able to discover accessible sporting activities designed to encourage participation and enjoyment.
You do not need to be an experienced athlete. The focus is on having a go, discovering something different and enjoying activity in an inclusive environment.

Creative activities
The creative workshop area will offer a range of hands-on sessions, including:
Block-printed postcards
Tote bag design
Badge and magnet making
Printmaking
Cardboard activities
Message-in-a-bottle creations
Photo-booth activities
Visitors can try something new, work at their own pace and take home some of the things they create.

Laugh-Able Comedy Tent
The Laugh-Able Comedy Tent will bring disabled comedians, guest performers, improvisation and audience participation to the festival.
Visitors can join in with interactive games or simply sit back and enjoy the show.
Funfair and family entertainment
The funfair will add to the lively festival atmosphere, with entertainment for families and younger visitors.
Families can move between the Main Stage, workshops, activities and community areas throughout the day.

Food and drink
A selection of food and refreshments will be available across the site.
Visitors can also stop by the Vintage Tea Room, supported by Uniting Friends, for a more relaxed place to enjoy refreshments and conversation.
Information Village
The Information Village will bring together local charities, support organisations, public services, care providers and community groups.
This is an opportunity to:
Ask questions
Discover local services
Learn about community activities
Find practical support
Explore volunteering and participation opportunities
Meet organisations working across disability, health, care, employment and family support

Zebra Wellbeing Area
Busy festivals can sometimes feel overwhelming. The Zebra Wellbeing Area will provide a calmer and more welcoming space where visitors can pause, regulate and reconnect.
Visitors do not need to wait until they feel distressed to use the area. It is available for anyone who would benefit from a break from the wider festival environment.
Information and support
The festival Information Point will provide:
General enquiries
Event information
BSL interpretation support
Assistance relating to lost children
Support relating to vulnerable adults
Event staff and volunteers will also be available around the site.
Enjoy the festival your way
There is no single correct way to experience the Disability Festival.
You might spend the day watching live performances, or prefer to explore the stalls and activities. You might want to try accessible sport, make something creative, enjoy comedy or spend time with friends over refreshments.
Come for the entertainment, stay for the community and enjoy the festival in the way that works best for you.
